Maradona: Argentina used doping to reach the World Cup 1994

Diego Maradona said on Monday that Argentina's national team used banned substances to gain qualification for the World Cup in the United States in 1994, when he ran the playoff against Australia.
"Why was there no dope test in the match against Australia when they did in all other matches? What happened is that against Australia gave us a 'fast coffee'. They put something in the coffee and ran more ...", revealed Maradona in an American channel program.
"They made ten anti-doping controls in that game and then nothing happened. Here was the trick and (Julio) Grondona knew," said Maradona, who was kicked out of the 1994 World Cup for doping.
Julio Grondona, president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and vice-president of Fifa, has become a rival of Maradona since resigned as coach of Argentina following the failure at the World Cup in South Africa
"When they attack me also know how to react," Grondona said Maradona on.
"I'm old but I am healthy and that's a lot. There are others who have the misfortune of not being good, but not by natural problems, but because of problems created," said Grondona.
Maradona was added recently to the campaign of Daniel Passarella, River Plate president to demand the resignation as president of the AFA Grondona.Diego Maradona disse nesta segunda-feira que a seleção da Argentina usou substâncias proibidas para obter a classificação para a Copa do Mundo dos Estados Unidos, em 1994, quando disputou a repescagem contra a Austrália.
